A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a leading global international bank. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the day to day activity of the collateral monitoring and control teams within Credit Operations. This will include leading directing and implementing a strategy to ensure full completion of the collateral monitoring and control activities within the agreed timescales. Any items not delivered will be escalated accordingly to the necessary stakeholder, credit risk/legal or the front office. The candidate must provide visible leadership to the team, providing clear business direction and drive performance to optimise results. Be the key point of contact for all stakeholders as the owner of the Credit Operations control processes across London and the Isle of Man and be responsible for implementing a consistent approach to control and establishing and migrating work to a centre of excellence and will contribute to the Global collateral monitoring and risk activity framework.
The candidate will also coach and develop direct reports, as well as be a point of referral. Ensuring cases are managed in accordance with agreed policies, procedures and commercial/customer practices, whilst minimising exposure to risk. Involvement will be required in any strategic change and business management affecting the control process within Credit Operations.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of operational dynamics and key drivers such as service level management, risk management, recruitment, training, people management and the ability to cope with fluid, fast moving complex environment, proven experience of managing a successful control and/or collateral monitoring team and a demonstrable desire to continually improve performance, proven track record of coaching skills and delivering feedback to drive quality & performance and the ability to improve and drive performance. The candidate will also have a depth of experience, knowledge and ability to sue variety of coaching methods and techniques in order to develop and apply rigorous process controls. A background in Credit Operations would be advantageous. |
